As an artist, I sometimes like to explore a subject in depth. I will often create several paintings of the same subject or area. Sometimes I’ll do them straight through and other times I’ll come back to the subject. Occasionally I don’t know that I’m going to create a series until after I have started.
Intimate Spaces, Beach Series
This is a series of sixteen painting all relating to the theme of families and people at the beach and their activities when they think no one is watching.
Lucky Red Series
This series of paintings revolves around the theme of good luck symbols, especially those of Chinese origin. Each painting also has some element of red in it.
Alley Series
I didn’t really start out to create a series of this subject, but I’ve always been attracted to alleyways as they seem more interesting and intimate than the facades of houses.
