This is the first painting in my series The Food We Eat.  I was going through some old photos and realized just how many pictures I have of meals I have eaten.  I guess with all the cooking shows on TV, we’re all a bit obsessed with food.  We love to try new restaurants, send photos of our meals to friends on social media, and try new things.

My husband and I found this restaurant when we were vacationing at the Indiana Dunes.  We love gyros and these are some of the best.  The sandwiches came in huge baskets.  The colors are bright and lively.
