Ogling

Description

This is the final painting in this series.  I can’t express how glad I was to be done with painting sand and sea and sky.

Here you see a late afternoon scene.  The title is derived from the two guys on the left who are ogling the pretty girls on the right.  Mom is on her cell phone and not paying a bit of attention.

I like the composition but there was actually quite a bit going on here.  I actually painted out a lot of things…extra umbrellas, people….and simplified the shapes of the buildings in the background.  The entire painting definitely has a bit of quirky humor.
