Red Stripe

Description

This is a rather simple painting, or rather, I simplified it. A guy lying in the sun catching some rays.  The original photo was actually quite complex with lots of people, birds, foreground interest.  But I just wanted to convey the reason why we go to the beach.  Just to relax and enjoy ourselves.

The secondary figure helps add scale, as do the umbrellas. I actually created the red strip to give the painting more presence.  I think it helps.
